Here are the resources to support you at each stage of the process to lead change and make it visible in your school and community. Elevate your sustainability initiative and increase your impact using Eco-Schools USA materials.
In the recruitment step of Eco-Green, the mentor team and school team partnership will be recruited. The mentor team can be comprised of facilities, dealers, and/or suppliers. School teams can be comprised of administrators, teachers, students and community supporters.
In the initiation step of Eco-Green, NWF will guide and prepare the school and the mentor by demonstrating best practices in order to fulfill their roles in the partnership. Mentor and school teams will be connected with NWF resources and support.
In the collaboration step of Eco-Green is the Initial in-person meeting between the mentor and the school teams. An Eco-Green relationship manager will facilitate a collaboration session in which schools and mentors will create a shared vision for the desired outcomes of the school, mentors, and NWF. During collaboration, partners will plan an initial opportunity for the Mentor team to support students.

In the implementation step of Eco-Green, educational professionals empower students as change agents and begin the 7-step Eco-Schools process. Mentor Teams support students as outlined during the collaborative planning session.

In the celebration step of Eco-Green, schools and mentors are recognized for the positive contributions and outcomes of the partnership. After completion of a school-year, partners have an opportunity to continue participation and connection to this learning community.
